about

What is Muay Thai

Muay Thai, also known as Thai boxing, is a dynamic and powerful Thai martial art and full-contact combat sport. It integrates the use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins in combat, earning it the nickname “Art of Eight Limbs.” Muay Thai practitioners engage in striking techniques, sweeps, and clinching maneuvers. The sport’s history is rooted in the local bare-hand fighting style known as muay and has gained international prominence. Muay Thai is a captivating blend of tradition, power, and skill—a true testament to Thailand’s rich martial heritage.

MuayThai is a combat sport that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This physical and mental discipline which includes combat on shins is known as "the art of eight limbs" because it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, shins, being associated with a good physical preparation that makes a full-contact fighter very efficient.
